About the project
In this innovative project, Hapag-Lloyd AG, a leading transport and logistics company based in Hamburg, transformed its workplace at Rosenstrasse 9-11 to create a sustainable and flexible office environment. With an area of around 4,500 square metres, a flagship office space was developed here that meets the latest requirements for workplace design. AIS played a key role in this process as a consultant and tenant representative. Three key services provided by AIS had a significant impact on the project:

Implementation of a new space concept as a standard for other office buildings:
AIS developed and implemented innovative office and work concepts that will not only be used for the pilot area, but will also serve as the standard for other Hapag-Lloyd AG buildings in the future. -
Creation of a design guide for corporate identity:
To promote a stronger connection to the brand and the company, AIS created a design guide that emphasises the corporate identity. This guide combines historical, logistical and location-specific aspects in a contemporary graphic language and ensures that the design appeals to employees on an emotional level. -
Supporting the relocation management:
AIS not only provided support with the planning and realisation of the new office space, but also with the logistical challenges of the move to ensure a smooth transition.
This comprehensive redesign was prompted by various challenges such as sub-optimal space utilisation, outdated space concepts and the need for more flexibility, technological integration, sustainability and an improvement in employee wellbeing. The successful implementation of this project has created an office environment that is not only functional, but also inspiring and enables a significantly stronger identification with the Hapag-Lloyd brand.
